To achieve this goal, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Child Counsellor to join our growing service. You would be working alongside a team which has expertise in a range of therapeutic modalities, including Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Psychology.
About the Role
To be successful in this role you will need the knowledge and expertise to provide one to-one and/or family person-centred counselling with young people.
You will be clinically responsible to our Principal Psychologist and Head of Services who will have a clinical oversight of service delivery. You will be required to work autonomously within professional guidelines whilst observing company policies and procedures.
Salary: £5,600 per year (8 hours per week) Full Time Equivalent £26,250 (37.5 hours per week).
Contracted Days/Hours: One evening or weekend day with the potential to increase hours.

Requirements
• Degree-level certificate in Counselling/Psychotherapy.
• Registered with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy as a full member.
• Experience working as a counsellor particularly with younger children and adolescents with presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
• Sound knowledge of mental health conditions relating to younger people. • Experience counselling with clients across the spectrum of mental health and neurodiversity.
• Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Competent communication skills and report writing skills.
